Hi all, and thanks for visiting. I've had a lot of visitors from all over the world! I would like to encourage people who are visiting to comment, ask a question, make a suggestion for content, etc. Part of the goal here is to open more dialogue. Although not a forum, I will reply to comments, and if you have a suggestion for content I will do my best to follow through.
Update - I have a call in to one surgeon and my GP. I will be trying to get a referral to Boston Children's Hospital. They have a superb staff, and a team of specialists for adult strabismus treatment. My insurance isn't the best, so I might have to push for this. Wish me luck!

Who Is This Woman and What is She Blogging About?
34 years ago there was a little blue-eyed girl. Her eyes were so big and blue and perfect, that one of them thought it could just sit back and relax, rest on its laurels, you know...get lazy. In fact, Miss Lazy Left got so lazy, that after some time, she just sorta...checked out and went dark. The doctors called it "strabismus".
Now the little blue-eyed girl is all grown up, and even though she can't bring the light back to Miss Lazy Left, she has decided it is high time to at least set her straight. So, with a couple of snips and sutures, Miss Lazy Left is soon to be marching on the straight and narrow path so that the blue-eyed woman can move with just a little more grace, power, and confidence in the world. But she can't do it alone, and that's why she has invited all of you along for the journey.

I checked that link you had to Boston Children's Hospital. That place looks like they have an awesome team. Keep us posted on your care. I would definitely like to know if I should consider seeing a DR there at some point.

Yes, they do appear to have an outstanding team. I hope appearances in this case indicate truth.
You will be kept posted every step of the way!
I found that a great team and doctor isn't just important for the sake of the treatment. Feeling comfortable around them and confident in their competence makes the experience much more positive, I think.
